Old Denton occupies a legendary place in the story of John Mosby and his Rangers, serving as a safehouse and rendezvous site. Learn about the Civil War’s most famous guerilla conflict and how it played out in the very heart of the Heritage Area.
The hike will be guided by professional interpreters, with stops to highlight different stories. The total distance is approximately 5 miles of rolling terrain. Please wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring plenty of water. The hike is an intermediate difficulty, and features small stream crossings, rolling terrain, and a few steep hills.
